Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 2026 · Monte Marketing (ABN 75 836 873 624)

Monte Marketing respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how it's handled — in plain terms.

What we collect

How we use it

Where it's stored

Data is stored on infrastructure we operate in Australia plus the services needed to run your account — Cloudflare (site hosting/DNS), Shopify (payments for shop orders and subscriptions), Google (Search Console data where you connect it) and OpenAI (content generation — your business details, never your login). Each has their own privacy terms.

Cookies

Our dashboard uses a session cookie to keep you signed in and a theme preference in local storage. We don't run third-party ad trackers on this site.

Your rights

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask us to delete it (unless we're required to keep it — e.g. tax records). Email [email protected].

Changes

If this policy changes materially we'll update this page and note the date above.

Privacy Commitment at Monte Marketing

At Monte Marketing we treat privacy as a fundamental right, and our privacy policy reflects that responsibility. Every piece of personal information you share—whether through a contact form, a booking bot, or an AI‑driven staff system—is collected only to deliver the services you’ve requested and to improve the experience we provide. We store data on secure Australian servers, encrypt transmissions, and limit access to authorized personnel who need it to perform their duties. By clearly outlining how we gather, use, and protect your details, the policy ensures you understand exactly what happens with your information from the moment you engage with Monte.

Our privacy policy also explains the choices you have regarding your data. You can request a copy of the information we hold, ask for corrections, or demand deletion where appropriate, all without penalty. Monte Marketing never sells or trades your data to third parties; any sharing is limited to trusted service providers who support our web development, SEO, or automation solutions, and only under strict contractual obligations. We regularly review and update our practices to stay compliant with Australian privacy law, and any significant changes to the policy will be communicated directly to you, ensuring ongoing transparency.

By using Monte Marketing’s services—whether you’re a small business in Hervey Bay or a client elsewhere in Australia—you agree to the terms set out in this privacy policy. This agreement helps us maintain a secure environment while delivering custom web development, business bots, and AI integrations that respect your confidentiality. Should you have any concerns or need clarification, our dedicated support team is ready to discuss how our privacy measures align with your expectations, reinforcing the trust at the heart of Monte’s marketing solutions.

How long we keep information

We only keep personal information for as long as it's needed for the purpose it was collected — active project and account data stays while you're a client, invoices and tax records are kept for the period the ATO requires, and analytics data is retained in aggregate without identifying individuals. When information is no longer needed it's deleted or de-identified. You can ask us at any time to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and we'll action it within a reasonable timeframe unless the law requires us to keep it.

Where to learn more about your privacy rights

Your rights under the Australian Privacy Act are overseen by the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) — their site explains what businesses must do with personal information, how to complain if something goes wrong, and what the notifiable data breach scheme requires of us. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles, and if you ever feel we haven't handled your information properly, you can raise it with us first or go straight to the OAIC. If our site or systems are ever breached in a way likely to cause serious harm, we will tell you and the OAIC as the law requires.
